Those who are already in the government space and doing work with the government already know about SAM.Gov. This is a vendor registration portal for companies that want to do business with the federal government. I have learned a few lessons over the years and one very important learning is about updating your NAICS codes.

There is a possibility that you are doing business with the government and there is some other work that you get, which does not reflect the NAICS codes you have; therefore, review the records once or twice a year.

Please remember not to update your SAM.Gov record if you are anticipating an award in the immediate future.
